On Cloud blends pavement with party in Taipei

On Cloud · Apr 2026

Concept retailer, De sidere7.1 converted their hexagon fitting room into a performance stage with/for On Cloud in Taipei.

First, two artists (Chen Junyu & Xue Shuyu) ran on treadmills in Cloudmonster 3s, exploring the emotional states of running as live art.

Then a mobile DJ led a city run through Taipei's streets alongside crew WRC — finishing with cocktails, music, and post-run sessions.

Run + rave + retail, sequenced into one night out. A new, reformatted 'hash house harriers' ;)

Blending entertainment x exercise

This activation isn't competing with other running events. It's competing with a night at the bar or a KTV booth — and winning on the same terms. Music, collective energy, social ritual, drinks. The treadmill becomes a stage. The city street becomes a dance floor.

The consumer being targeted isn't just a runner who wants better cushioning. It's someone who might otherwise have spent that evening out with friends. Running culture, framed this way, stops being a discipline and starts being a scene.

As running, fitness and outdoor activities continue to grow across Asia, important for brands who want to lead in the space to offer up cultural connection points like this.
