Strategically, this feels like Nike getting back to culture creation — positioning itself as a host for community, reminding people of the cultural connections that Nike surrounds itself with.

It also reads as a competitive response. As Adidas Originals continues to win with heritage icons, local shops and throwbacks, Nike Sportswear is leaning into some of the same nostalgia impulses but with a different edge.
