Dior Beauty — Turning Lipstick into Luck?
Chinese New Year 2026 (through mid-February)
Chengdu Taikoo Li · East Plaza
It’s a beautifully designed activation - merging brand codes and colors with CNY energy.
It presents lipstick as a new year’s charm ...a red pavilion supported by symbols of luck (cards, dice, lucky eights and four leaf clovers) and ‘lucky’ lip shades. The feel I get is that Dior are tempting people to (re)embrace luck, gambling and glam.

As China’s color cosmetics market remains uncertain — promo fatigue, homogeneity, rising local brands — Dior is aiming to create positive momentum, both for itself and the wider LVMH beauty portfolio - reviving brand spirits :)
That matters because Dior is an anchor in beauty and color cosmetics for LVMH. In this role as an anchor Dior will be relied on to do some heavy lifting and spin-up some GOOD FORTUNE in the year of the horse.

As luxury has turned more quiet and prudent, its uncertain whether consumers will again, fully embrace bravado, glitz and glam.

Either way, bravo to Dior for bringing the positive energy and fun.
