Growth Marketing Specialist

VANCOUVER

Totem Media is looking for an enthusiastic Growth Marketing Specialist to join our team in Vancouver. Totem works with Global brands helping to define and develop future-forward marketing strategies - which are informed by our research and experience in; Data/analytics, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) branding and China marketing & technology practice. 

You will be an integral part of our team, working on building an audience for Totem; on social media, and through email newsletters and reports (white-papers) - ensuring that Totem continues to expand its profile. As a central part of this role, you will take ownership for managing a marketing-to-sales funnel.

 

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE

  • Work with Totem leadership to create a clear plan for growth of audiences (prospects)

  • Establish and manage a conversion funnel (create a path from marketing/sales)

  • Conduct market research on/about trends in marketing, technology and innovation

  • Build and maintain multiple content schedules for; email DMs, social media, and reports/papers

  • Create (write) content for email DMs, and social posts

  • Creating/implementing other marketing activities, such as Webinars/Podcasts

  • Edit and review content from other team members (ensure high-quality content across org.)

  • Collaborate with teams across multiple offices and timezones on plans/projects

  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to refine strategies

  • Make recommendations for optimizing Website and other touch points

 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills 

  • Strong experience with social media marketing (LinkedIn, Twitter…)

  • Proven experience as marketing specialist in similar role

  • Experience with marketing data analytics and tools

  • Experience with email and CRM systems (A/B testing, database segmentation/targeting)

  • Ability to find solutions using digital tools (eg. Airtable, Tableau, Google Data Studio…)

  • A Mac user, with strong experience on Keynote (and/or PPT)

  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind

  • BSc/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent

  • Well-organized and detail oriented

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Excited to learn new things and be on cutting edge of marketing and branding 

  • Experience and interest in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brands 

  • Up-to-date on latest trends with online marketing

  • International mindset (time spent living globally)

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGISt 

VANCOUVER

Totem Media is looking for an experienced social media strategist who is capable of working with clients, internal teams and partners to help build winning solutions for global brands thru social media in China. The right candidate will have a great balance between creative, analytical and people skills …and a strong attention to detail, in order to see social media plans through to success.

 

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE

  • Working with global, consumer brands (our clients)

  • Managing social media strategies, projects and campaigns

  • Ensuring high-quality implementation of content & creative projects

  • Managing key accounts and acting as senior authority on client success

  • Working with creative, technical teams in pulling together client projects

  • Preparing quotations, invoices, contracts and other related project documents

  • Finding case studies, data and information related to marketing (social & ecommerce) in China

  • Helping to prepare and design presentations (using Keynote primarily)

  • Supporting new business pitches

 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a social/digital agency

  • Live and breathe social media and understand its place within media

  • Passionate about the quickly-evolving social media and digital environment

  • Able to create clear social campaigns and present wining proposals to clients

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

  • Understand how to manage a creative process with in-house and third-party resources

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)

lead designer - Creative

SHANGHAI/HONG KONG

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE

  • Art-based creative lead at fast growing brand and social media agency

  • Working with a team of copywriters and other creatives in developing great creative concepts & designs

  • Ideas will be a mix of text (stories), images (photos & infographics) and short videos

  • Working with account management teams and clients to originate campaigns/activations

  • Managing in-house and third-party creative resources (photo/video teams) to execute creative concepts

  • Ensuring all content, creatives and design materials have strong audience appeal and match brand expectations

 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Art-based creative as a core skill set, with a strong creative portfolio (graphics & video)

  • The ability to develop compelling social media ideas and bring great concepts to ‘life’

  • Multi-media design track-record (graphic design, video post-production etc)

  • Understanding for how social contents/creatives work and are consumed

  • Strong eye for creative/design (especially in how the creative relates to a specific brand)

  • Ability to think like an editor in developing exciting, brand relevant contents for clients social media 

TOOLS/EXPERTISE

  • 2-5 years of experience in social media / website design / video / motion graphic design

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

  • Knowledge in video shooting and editing preferred, e.g. HTML5, Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effect

CHINESE CONTENT SPECIALIST

SHANGHAI

Totem Media is looking for a passionate, high-energy social media producer to write, design and create branded content. You will be helping to build exciting content for global brands and their audiences on their social media (namely Weibo and WeChat). The successful candidate will have a core skill-set in writing and developing story ideas, with additional capabilities in content planning and strategies (how to make awesome content plans).

 

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE 

  • Working together with our account management team to develop monthly content plans

  • Develop creative ideas relevant for both brands and social media audiences

  • Content ideas will be a mix of text (stories), images (photos & infographics) and videos

  • You will also play a lead role in writing, editing and producing the content (stories)

  • Successfully launch content (stories/images) on social media, namely; Weibo & WeChat

YOUR SKILLS

  • Great Chinese (Mandarin) writing skills

  • The ability to both write great original stories and edit, refine and sometimes translate

  • Have strong feel for what stories, topics and themes spark interest with audiences on social media

  • Multi-media design & creative skills (eg. graphic design, video post-production etc)

Totem Media is looking for Media & Influencer (KOL) Specialist, who is capable of working with clients, internal teams and partners to help build winning solutions for global brands thru social media in China. The right candidate will have strong understanding for the Chinese social media  landscape, strong research and planning skills.

 

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE

  • Manage communications and build relationships with media, KOLs and third party agencies for joint collaboration of various campaigns/promotions

  • Reaching and building a KOL network for different categories on social media

  • Organising and strategic planning for media and KOL planning

  • Manage and report social media performance on a weekly/monthly basis

  • Collaborate with team members to initiate and execute different promotional campaigns

  • Reach and present the latest social media trends in China market

  • Handle other ad hoc duties assigned

     

YOUR SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Native Mandarin Chinese

  • Experience with KOL selection, negotiation and evaluation in China

  • Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a social media/PR/Media Agency

  • Live and breathe Chinese social media and understand its place within media landscape

  • Strong knowledge of China social media and digital marketing, e.g. Weibo, WeChat, Nice …
